I know, i know...

I said a while back that i would post some pics from my trip to Seattle in March. Gosh, i just forgot, sorry. I went for 5 days on my vacation. I ended up booking a REALLY bad hotel, luckly i was able to sweet talk my way out of paying for it and went across the street to a La Quinta. It was so big, I kinda wished I had someone to share it with. But, I still had fun visiting a dear friend while i was there.

Yeowsers! An 11 hour drive. I had no idea I had it in me. This pic was in Oregon somewhere, the view there was incredible.

This view is from the Seattle Space Needle. We went to dinner in the restaurant, and this was our view. INCREDIBLE!
My hotel was about 4 blocks from the Space Needle. We just walked there and saw the sights.

Seattle Art Museum!
I went to Pikes Market, you know where they throw fish when you buy it? This is just some random guy I met.

These pics are from the Aquarium. I had never been to one, and had no idea what to expect. What an incredible building. Well worth the $20.00 entrance fee.
So i never knew that squid have a great cognitive memory. They have the ability to recognize faces and when they figure out how to do something they always remember it. Also, when they ink, it is toxic... even to themselves, which is why they run afterward.

This is a view from the piers. What an incredible city! If the sun came out more I would think about going there more often. This trip was really my first out on my own. What a great learning experience. I pushed my limits and realized I can do whatever i want, and SEE whatever I want. Since Seattle I went to Sacramento, San Francisco, Oregon coast, and soon in January, Western Caribbean. I'll post more from other trips soon. :)

Travel fun

Since i bought my new car, I have been traveling like crazy. Much, much more than i ever would have with my old car. My old car, nicknamed Shooter by my sister got REALLY bad gas mileage. Every weekend I have been going to Idaho Falls to see friends and family. Recently, the last few weekends i have been going to Burley too. I love my family SO much! The weekends that I just get to spend some quality time with grown up conversations are the best! I work so much and with adolescents, that during the week I rarely get to talk to adults. Here are some pics of this last weekend on the farm in Burley. I cant wait to go back! I love it there!

This is my new car!! Isnt she perty :) ?

little angles

This weekend was definitely a big one, but alot of fun! When i got off work Saturday afternoon, i went to IF for a visit. I went shopping for some much needed clothes with Liz, then headed to a friends house to hang out. Well Sunday rolled around in no time. Early Sunday morning i headed back to Poky for church to teach. After church I drove to Burley to see my favorite little man, and my little muffin, Brooklyn. I was only there for a few hours and dinner, which was amazing. We had the best apple pie ever for dinner. :) We played on the farm outside and fed the pigs and found an egg in the chicken coop!

Well the best part was when we were about to leave to head home. Todd and i were snuggling watching Toy Story,

Todd goes "Weesa (thats me :), you come to my house?"
I said, " :( nope, i have to go to my house in Poky".
Todd said, "No, come to my house with me?".
I said " Sorry bud, but I cant, I have to go to my house in Poky".
He then said " Ok, I go to your house in Poky then"

What a sweet little angle. He know exactly what I need to hear, in not so many words. He wants me around and loves me, what a smart 3 year old he is! What amazing little people kids are. Cant wait to see them and their amazing parents again! Love ya Aaron and Carolyn!!

This is a pic of me and the kids in Oakland this summer.

yummy in my tummy

Before i headed off for an adventure in Seattle, I went to Idaho Falls and Rexburg to spend time with the fam. I called Carolyn up to see what she was doing and she told me they were going to Big Juds for lunch... since i love hamburgers... and eating, i invited myself. Which of course, they had no problem with.

I LOVE THESE KIDS! I LOVE THESE KIDS! I LOVE THESE KIDS!

Check out that burger!

Hotel Madness

Last week, i went to Seattle for my vacation. I ended up going to see my friend, and the trip was kindof put together at the last minute, so I ended up going by myself.

I had such a great time... the first obstacle i ran into was my hotel. I researched ALOT online for a cheap hotel. I thought i found one that was half way decent, when i got there i was surprised at the condition of it. I didn't think to get a pic of the room... but i ended up going across the street to a La Quinta (much, much nicer) and took some pics of the outside.

My room was about 5 square feet, 1970's style. The room they gave me was at the end of the hallway, around the corner kinda secluded from everyone. Not the safest place for a young female to be staying by herself. They had 'complimentary' wireless internet, but when I asked the front desk about it, they said they had the internet... but it would probably be best if i used them it in the lobby. mmmkay.

The La Quinta was so wonderful. I had a huge room with a little kitchen in it. It had a living room and a bedroom. The view was fantastic.

This is the view the left of my room.

View right of my hotel room. I was only about 3 blocks from the space needle.

Wendys adventure

So about two weeks ago i went to Boise. Carolyn and the kids came with me and we had a blast. We went shopping, but i think the best part was the drive there. The kids slept most of the time, and she and I talked and caught up on what was going on. It has been a LLLLOOOOOONNNGGG time since hanging out with them and i miss them dearly.

When we got there on Thursday, I called up a good friend to hang out. I ended up coming home around 4 or 5 am to crawl into bed. At 7 Todd tried to use my mouth as a tunnel for his little truck. So i decided to get up and spend time with them... i mean naps ALWAYS happen with little kids around, ...right? *cough* WRONG :) Carolyn and I went shopping and took the kids. After spending 3 or 4 glorious hours at Burlington, we went to Wendys to eat. Well... I ended up sitting right between Todd and lil B. After helping mom clean up her drink she spilled (i swear she is just as bad as Todd...jk) my goal of the lunch was to keep Brooklyn from eating the plastic plant we were sitting by and to try to keep Todd from eating only Ketchup... which he eats like juice. It was definitely a challenge but a lot of fun! I would sleep less if it meant spending time with them. The best part was Carolyn and Mom sat and enjoyed their meal and just watched the whole time... that's okay. I guess its my turn to experience eating keep everything (food, drinks, toys etc.)in control in 1 square foot.

Family Pics

Throughout all the chaos my family managed to get together for a family pic. It was been a busy couple months... but it is always great when we can manage to get together. Here are a few of my favorites!
